Job Description: Junior Website Administrator

Hours: 24 hours per week

Location: 18 Church Street, Blackpool, FY1 1EW

Leonard Dews is a family run luxury jewellery and watch retailer in the heart of Blackpool. We are proud stockists of some of the world’s most prestigious watch and jewellery brands and boast an impressive showroom and website.

We have a small team but are looking to expand our presence online and so are looking for a junior website administrator to help support the development and growth of the Leonard Dews site.

You will look for ways to continually improve the customer website experience, updating and adding information daily, ensuring that information is up to date and relevant and that the presentation of the site is truly reflective of the products we sell and our values.

You will work within a small marketing team and will need to be able to work independently without close supervision.

We work with a bespoke jewellery retailer CRM system and Magento 2 website. Previous Magento experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Helping to support the website by creating, adding, editing, and deleting content as required.
  • Responding to web content requests and queries from colleagues across the business, including the Managing Director, on behalf of the marketing team.
  • Continually evaluating the website and its content to ensure the information provided is up to date and accurate for our customers.
  • Identify any opportunities to improve presentation, processes, and functionality of the website to ensure the customer journey.
  • Liaising with our external agencies to resolve website issues and incidents as required.
  • Work in collaboration with the teams across the business to continually improve the customer experience.

About you:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Good knowledgeable of Microsoft software (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good liaison and communication skills.
  • Organisational and time management.
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills as part of team training and independent study.

 As this is a junior position knowledge of the following would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given:

  • A knowledge and understanding of web and digital design principles.
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools such as Content Manager/ Mail Chimp
  • Knowledge of industry standard software such as Adobe (Dreamweaver and Photoshop)
  • Proofreading and editorial skills.
